I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, celebrating the fulfillment of prophecies that were made 700 years earlier, that the virgin will conceive Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:
4 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
That prophecy was spoken by Isaiah 700 years prior to the birth of Jesus. Just amazing! Immanuel means “God is with us.” So, we celebrate that our Lord and Savior is with us, and that He came to save us from the evil that the devil intends to bring against us. And not only that, but we celebrate that Jesus is coming again to save us from the wrath that is come.
John 14 (Jesus speaking):
1 ¶ “Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, [there] you may be also.
4 ¶ “And you know the way where I am going.”
Like His birth, Jesus’ second coming is widely prophesied in the Bible, including the quote from Jesus Himself in John 14. I heard an interesting statistic recently that 28% of the Bible is comprised of prophetic scriptures and over 80% of those prophecies have already come to pass. We also know that the Rapture is the next great prophecy to be fulfilled on God’s calendar. The Rapture is said to be imminent, meaning that no other thing needs to take place for it to take place. It can happen at any time. Glory to God!
Considering all this, I encourage you all to share the meaning of Christmas with others. Last week I shared the word that God gave me when I prayed for healing of my toe. He told me to tell my toe that Jesus had already come and that by His stripes my toe was already healed. God told me my toe doesn’t know it was already healed; it needed to be told. I am happy to report that all pain in that toe is gone, with no remnant of soreness.
We said last time that we must tell others what has been revealed to us, the same way that the shepherds made known what the angel of the Lord revealed to them about the birth of Jesus.
Luke 2:
10 And the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people;
11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
A New Year of Increased Faith
Today I want to encourage you to approach the New Year with a resolve to walk in increased faith in the promises of God. I will share some scriptures that have been on my heart but there are so many more wonderful promises in His word, if only we would choose to believe them.
Separate from Unbelief
To increase our faith is to separate from the spirit of unbelief. I believe a key for us in 2026 is to consciously separate ourselves from unbelief, and this may mean moving on from some who are close to us. The word of God is true but there is no room for doubt of that word. In Genesis 26, Isaac became very wealthy because he sowed during a famine and believed God for the hundredfold harvest. However, he had to separate himself from unbelief because nonbelievers envied his blessing.
Genesis 26:
12 ¶ Now Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. And the LORD blessed him,
13 and the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy;
14 for he had possessions of flocks and herds and a great household, so that the Philistines envied him.
15 Now all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines stopped up by filling them with earth.
16 Then Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are too powerful for us.”
17 And Isaac departed from there and camped in the valley of Gerar, and settled there.
If you are praying for a harvest, get away from the spirit of unbelief. Depart from there and settle where God wants you.
This same word applies to those who need healing. Matthew 13 shows that Jesus departed and did not heal many because the spirit of unbelief prevailed in the people.
Matthew 13:
54 And coming to His home town He [began] teaching them in their synagogue, so that they became astonished, and said, “Where [did] this man [get] this wisdom, and [these] miraculous powers?
55 “Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?
56 “And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then [did] this man [get] all these things?”
57 And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his home town, and in his [own] household.”
58 And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief. (NASB)
If there is unbelief in your hometown or in your household, separate from it.
Anoint Your Current Finances
It is common this time of year to wish each other a prosperous New Year. Instead of a wish, I offer you an encouragement to believe God’s promise to anoint your finances.
3rd John 1:
2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
As you obey the word of God, there will be an anointing on your finances such that you will live in the overflow. God’s word tells us to sow bountifully for that anointing and that overflow.
Luke 6 (Jesus speaking):
38 “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
2nd Corinthians 9:
6 ¶ Now this [I say,] he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.
7 Let each one [do] just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
9 as it is written, “HE SCATTERED ABROAD, HE GAVE TO THE POOR, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ABIDES FOREVER.”
10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;
11 you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.
12 For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.
As part of this blessing, you will need to cut off all negative relationships and separate from unbelief. Do not allow unbelief to speak into your life. Move away from it, as Isaac did.
Trust God’s Promise of Future Wealth
Not only will God anoint your current finances, but His word has awesome promises of future prosperity. For example, He has said the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous.
Proverbs 13:
22 ¶ A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
James 5 confirms the coming wealth transfer to the righteous. If we are patient in believing, then ill-gotten gold and silver will fail and become worthless in the hands of oppressors, and we will receive the just harvest of our labors. Just as the coming of the Lord is imminent, so too is this wealth transfer.
James 5:
1 ¶ Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you.
2 Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten.
3 Your gold and your silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure!
4 Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, [and] which has been withheld by you, cries out [against you]; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
5 You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.
6 You have condemned and put to death the righteous [man;] he does not resist you.
7 Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains.
8 You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
The devil cannot stop God’s blessing. If you have been done wrong by an employer, be patient and believe for the early and late rains. There will be a supernatural and inexplicable increase in finances to those who believe. Money will be released to believers because…
2nd Corinthians 9:
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
In 2026, pray and ask God for the abundance to do every good deed He places in front of you.
Let us pray.
Father God, we pray for increased faith in 2026, faith to believe in the promises of your word. Increase our faith for the healing and miracles that Jesus offers to those who believe. Lord, help us to separate from unbelief and unrighteousness. Anoint our finances as we obey and give bountifully. We pray for the patience we need to await the early and late rains, as we sow according to your instruction. We claim Your abounding grace and the abundance You promised for every good deed. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
