This week, I want to take some time to pray over the war in Middle East.
Father God, we ask that Your hand of protection be over the United State of America, as we stand with Israel in this war with the government of Iran, which has spoken and openly declared death and destruction over the people called by Your name. We pray for Your wisdom and direction for President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu. Continue to direct them as You did the people of Israel in the Old Testament as they waged war against those who sought to destroy them. We pray for Your Spirit that arose in Esther to arise once again and bring Your favor in this conflict with the enemies of Your people.
Lord, please hasten the end of this war and minimize the casualties and injuries suffered by all sides. We pray for the families of those who have died and been injured. Comfort them as only the God of all comfort can. Going forward, we pray for the supernatural protection of our armed forces, and those of Israel. We ask for precision in military strikes so that civilians would not be harmed. We pray for the people of Iran, that many receive Jesus in their hearts and free themselves from the deception of Islam. All these things we pray in Jesus’ name as we await His coming. Amen.
All of us want to live in a world of peace, but Jesus said that there will be wars and rumors of war. But He also said:
John 16:
33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (NASB)
The world cannot give us peace. It brings tribulation, but Jesus has overcome the world and so have those of us who have received Christ in our hearts. Because of Him, we can have peace in the midst of war.
John 14:
27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
If anyone has not yet received the Lord Jesus Christ in their heart, and desires to do so, please repeat this prayer after me:
Father God, I repent of my sin and ask for forgiveness today. I confess and declare with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe with all my heart that You raised Him from the dead for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus, please come into my heart and change me. Send the Holy Spirit to guide and direct me in wisdom and to enable me to overcome temptation from this day forth. Thank You for my salvation. I look forward to the day of the Rapture when I can be with You forever. Amen.
